BRG Ranked as an Outstanding Economic Consultancy by Global Competition Review for 13th Consecutive Year

BRG press release 3

Global Competition Review (GCR) has recognized BRG as an “Outstanding” firm in GCR 100: Economics 2026, which ranks the world’s leading economic consultancies. This is the thirteenth consecutive year BRG has been recognized for the antitrust work the firm’s experts perform globally.

BRG has expanded its international Antitrust & Competition practice over the last several years by creating one of the most substantial on-the-ground teams of senior experts in Europe, supported by a unified global structure that enables seamless collaboration across jurisdictions. The practice is co-led by David Sunding in the US, David Parker in London, and Konstantin Ebinger in Brussels.

GCR noted BRG’s significant strengthening of its senior bench with multiple strategic hires and promotions. Notable additions include Ai Deng, a recognized expert in econometrics, predictive analytics, and market manipulation, in the US; Francesco Lo Passo and Marcella Fantini in Italy; Liberty Mncube (former deputy chair of South Africa’s Competition Tribunal); and Dennis Beling and Dorcas Kwan (both formerly of the Hong Kong Competition Commission).

Most recently, the firm launched a dedicated Asia-Pacific (APAC) competition practice in Hong Kong, led by Mr. Beling. The move positions the firm to capture growing demand for economic advice across APAC, with anticipated expansion into key jurisdictions such as India and Australia.

In Italy, Dr. Lo Passo leads BRG’s Rome and Milan offices, which include Ms. Fantini, Dante Quaglione, Giordano Colarullo, and Cosimo Fischietti, along with senior advisor Valter Di Leo.

In Brussels, Mr. Ebinger works with noted experts Aleksandra Boutin, Xavier Boutin, Adina Claici, Kai-Uwe Kuhn, and Laurent Eymard. Mr. Eymard also leads the Paris office, which was strengthened in September 2025 with the arrival of Frédéric Palomino, who joined Jean-Gabriel Despeyroux.

In London, Mr. Parker works alongside Greg Harman, Mark Bosley, and Felix Hammeke, who joined in October 2025. They are supported by a strong bench of emerging talent and experienced case handlers. Together, the team has exceptional experience in merger control, investigations, and litigation and—with the arrival of competition-adjacent experts such as Tim Boersma and Simon Schropp—enhanced capabilities in energy, trade, and investment disputes.

In the US, BRG’s team includes Rosa Abrantes-Metz, David Evans, James Langenfeld, and Henry Kahwaty. Dr. Abrantes-Metz was recently appointed the firm’s Global Leader for Digital Economy and Platform Markets. Notably, she provided expert testimony in US and Plaintiff States v. Google LLC, where the court accepted her analysis on antitrust liability and harm, and for which the American Antitrust Institute honored her in October 2025 in the “Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics” category of their Antitrust Enforcement Awards.
