Dr. Wayne Strayer provides expertise in matters involving claims of discrimination in employment practices, studies of pay equity, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs audits and investigations, and studies of wage-and-hour compliance.

He works with attorneys and human resource professionals to identify and study data relevant to employment practices, including hiring, promotions, compensation, terminations, and performance and discipline decisions. He has extensive experience assisting clients with studies of pay equity, including identifying statistical differences in compensation, evaluating underlying causes for compensation differences, and working with counsel and clients to develop solutions to address differences.

Before joining BRG, Dr. Strayer was a managing director at an economic consulting firm, a principal at a global management consulting firm, and an economist at a labor and employment consulting firm. He was also an assistant professor at Texas A&M University, where he taught courses in microeconomics and econometrics. Dr. Strayer’s research has been published in academic journals including the Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Human Resources, and The Review of Economics and Statistics.
