Neil Cornelius is an energy and resources economist with over twenty-five years of experience in global energy markets and resource issues, particularly global electricity and gas markets, European and international carbon markets, and the UK water sector.

He has significant expertise in market and regulatory design and analysis, including implications for the viability and value of existing and planned assets and activities, contracts, and the project development process.

Mr. Cornelius was previously a partner at a Big Four firm in the UK, leading economic consulting for the energy and resources sectors. He has advised clients on various aspects of the UK energy market and development of new UK energy assets, assessed the economic impact of a range of energy projects in the UK and internationally, and acted as the lenders market adviser for major project-financed power projects, including reviewing main security package documents.
