BRG Experts Credited in English High Court Victory for Softbank in US$440 Million Claim

A multidisciplinary, cross-border team of BRG experts was recently praised in an English High Court judgment involving a substantial and high-profile US$440 million claim. 

James Farrell and Terence Mark were instructed by Quinn Emanuel, which successfully defended SoftBank against a claim brought by Credit Suisse. Mr. Farrell and Mr. Mark provided both written reports and oral testimony addressing issues involving the analysis of complex securities backed by the receivables of a US-based construction firm undergoing insolvency proceedings. 

The Court preferred the evidence of BRG over that of the claimants’ expert, consistently relying on BRG’s conclusions in formulating the judgment.
