
Vincent Urbancic
Vincent Urbancic is a managing director in BRG’s Financial Institution Advisory practice. He has over twenty years of experience helping financial institutions address complex risk, compliance, and operational matters.
Mr. Urbancic’s experience spans risk, compliance, and analytics across mortgage, auto, credit card, student, and commercial lending. He has implemented programs and led multidisciplinary teams serving bank and nonbank clients. He also has extensive experience developing and managing domestic and offshore teams, tailoring each engagement to the client’s specific needs.
Mr. Urbancic has served as an independent consultant in matters involving enforcement actions. In this capacity, he has prepared reports for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of remediation activities. He has also led dozens of evaluations involving compliance management systems (CMS); fair and responsible banking; governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC); process improvement and optimization; business process outsourcing and target operating models; and examination readiness.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Urbancic spent more than nine years with a global management consulting firm in its Banking, Insurance, and Capital Markets group, where he focused on consumer and commercial lending. He also worked in the Financial Services practice of another global consulting firm and in Fannie Mae’s Single-Family Credit Finance group.
Mr. Urbancic is an active volunteer with CFA Institute and has held several roles over the past decade, working with leaders worldwide to support the organization’s growth and brand. He holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
