Renee Abda is an associate director in BRG’s Health Analytics practice. She maintains multiple coding and compliance certifications from nationally recognized organizations.
As a certified coder, she has knowledge and understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, as well as other requirements regarding correct and compliant billing. Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), she understands regulatory requirements and the internal controls necessary for an organization’s compliance program to be effective and to reduce compliance risks, particularly those related to participation with government payers.
Ms. Abda has participated in compliance program effectiveness reviews, compliance program development, enterprise-wide risk assessments, coding and documentation audits, physician education and training, and risk adjustment coding reviews. Her experience spans a variety of specialty areas and settings, including behavioral health, dermatology, DMEPOS, general dental and oral surgery, ophthalmology, urgent care, and urology.
Ms. Abda earned a master’s degree in health administration (MHA) from the University of Scranton, a CAHME-accredited university.
