Olim Latipov
Olim Latipov advises clients on damages assessment in commercial and investor–state arbitrations.
Olim Latipov has worked in cases covering industries such as construction of large infrastructure projects, e-commerce, minerals, securities, commodities, pharmaceuticals and civil aviation. An Uzbek national, he has extensive experience with the transition economies of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Before joining BRG, he worked as an economist in the Geneva office at a leading global law firm, representing clients in complex, high-stakes arbitrations under ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL rules and in complex proceedings before the World Trade Organization.
Alongside his role in disputes, Mr. Latipov handles noncontentious work, advising clients on economic and data analysis issues.
Before working in professional services, Mr. Latipov was an investment analyst for a leading investor in distressed debt in Eastern Europe, where he analyzed and priced distressed debt portfolios. He also has experience in transport infrastructure financing and economics, having served as a program officer at the International Road Federation.
Mr. Latipov is fluent in English, Russian, Turkish and Uzbek and has won national and international mathematical competitions.
