Mike St. Martin Joins BRG as Managing Director in Chicago

BRG announced today that Mike St. Martin has joined the firm’s Commercial Disputes & Litigation practice group as a managing director in Chicago. A financial advisor and testifying expert with more than 25 years of experience, he specializes in performing business and intangible asset valuations, solvency and financial analyses, and economic damages calculations—primarily for corporate and legal teams involved in complex transactions and litigation.  

“Mike brings unrivaled experience in complex transactions and litigation/economic damages worlds, further strengthening the Commercial Disputes & Litigation practice in Chicago,” said Jeffery A. Stec, a managing director at BRG and a co-leader of BRG’s Commercial Disputes & Litigation practice. “His deep expertise is sure to reinforce BRG’s status as one of the most trusted voices in this space.” 

Throughout his career, St. Martin has valued numerous business entities and securities, including privately held corporation business enterprises, public corporation subsidiaries, and limited liability corporation interests.He also has performed analyses involving valuation, remaining useful life, lost profits/economic damages, and/or transfer pricing for intangible assets including customer relationships, patents, trade names, and trade secrets. He has prepared these analyses for financial reporting, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring/bankruptcy, strategic planning, and tax planning purposes. 

Prior to joining BRG, St. Martin was a senior managing director at Ankura and a director at Navigant in its Transaction Advisory Services group. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation, and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) professional designations.

Mike St. Martin received his MBA in finance from the DePaul Driehaus College of Business and BA in economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
