BRG Strengthens Global Construction Practice with Technical Expert Hire

BRG has appointed Matthew Bosley as a managing director in the firm’s Global Construction practice based in the Middle East. The firm’s first technical expert hire outside of the United States, Mr. Bosley will focus on international arbitration and dispute resolution within the construction sector, working across the Middle East and the broader Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia–Pacific (APAC) regions.
Mr. Bosley is a testifying expert and Chartered Engineer with over eighteen years of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) experience. His expertise compliments BRG’s existing offerings across quantum and delay, with MEP issues central to complex construction disputes including delay, prolongation and disruption claims, defects claims, variations, operational failures and performance issues.
Mr. Bosley will collaborate closely with the firm’s established team of experts in EMEA, including Michael Kenyon, Aidan Coyne, Jas Cheema, John Fletcher, Sean Fishlock and Sharon McGahey. Alongside BRG’s industry-leading team he will support clients on some of the most complex and high-profile construction cases in the Middle East and globally.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Bosley led the Middle East expert services team of a highly respected engineering consultancy. He provided expertise on regional MEP matters to support dispute resolution processes, including both written and oral testimony under cross examination in arbitration proceedings.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Bosley, said: “It is fantastic to join BRG at this exciting period of expansion for the firm. With expertise across quantum, delay and now technical we have a great proposition for the market. I’m looking forward to working with Michael, Aidan, Jas, John, Sean, Sharon and the rest of the practice”.
Mr. Kenyon, a BRG managing director and head of the firm’s Dubai office, added: “The team and I are very pleased to welcome Matthew on board—our fifth senior hire in the region over the last year—and look forward to introducing him and his expertise to our clients”.
Mr. Bosley’s appointment follows the recent addition of Michael Caddick in BRG’s Dubai office, with further hires expected as part of the firm’s ongoing global growth strategy.
