October 31, 2023

BRG has announced the appointment of Isaac Wong as an associate director in the firm’s eDiscovery and Forensics practice in Asia-Pacific (APAC).

Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Wong has over thirteen years of experience in forensic technology, eDiscovery, legal operations, and legal project management. He has led projects involving forensic data collection, data processing, and document review across multiple jurisdictions in Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Mr. Wong’s addition expands the firm’s on-the-ground eDiscovery and digital forensics capabilities in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, and Australia and further augments BRG’s overall expansion in APAC.

“Isaac’s joining marks a new growth phase since the establishment of BRG’s APAC forensic technology practice in 2020,” said Erick Gunawan, head of the APAC eDiscovery and Forensics practice. “We see consistently strong demands from our clients for 24/7 support globally, especially in cross-border disputes and investigations. Isaac will provide much-needed leadership as we continue our regional expansion into the East Asia and Australia markets.”

Commenting on the appointment, Mustafa Hadi, head of BRG’s APAC practice, said, “I am delighted to welcome Isaac to the firm. The strong digital forensics team will continue to work with experts in valuation and damages, forensic accounting, construction, and energy industries to provide sophisticated end-to-end forensic services in disputes and investigations matters.”

Before joining BRG, Mr. Wong gained experience in several leading global consulting firms, including roles focused on eDiscovery, forensic technology, and cyber incident response. He also worked in-house with several leading international law firms and at a cryptocurrency exchange.
