Specialty Apparel Vertically Integrated Retailer Improves Forecasting

A specialty apparel manufacturer and retailer required help with planning and allocation processes. The lack of robust merchandise planning and poor forecast management processes challenged the company in meeting financial objectives.

BRG retail experts worked to align manufacturing and merchandising on key data related to orders and work in progress. This effort resulted in the creation of product-style/color-level open-to-buy forecasting and implementation of inventory quality measurement of store-level inventory to help determine lost sales. The team designed new process flows and updated calculation models to enhance allocation effectiveness.
