Our Values

We strive for a diverse and talented workforce. Diversity of style, experience, and thought creates an inclusive and innovative team. This means that we make employment decisions based on merit and without regard for race, color, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. By attracting and maintaining a diverse workforce, we foster an environment where differences in experience, background, and opinion are valued and respected. We cannot afford to deprive ourselves of capable people for reasons based on unjust or unlawful discrimination.

BRG is committed to compliance with all applicable laws providing for equal employment opportunities. This commitment applies to all persons involved in BRG operations and prohibits unlawful discrimination by any employee of BRG, including supervisors and coworkers. BRG prohibits any form of retaliation against any employee who opposes discrimination or prohibited harassment, files a complaint, or testifies, assists, or participates in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing conducted by the Company or a local, state, or federal agency.

BRG makes employment-related decisions based on merit. To be clear, “employment-related decisions” include those involving the hiring, placement, promotion, demotion, transfer, training, compensation, benefits, and termination of personnel.

We recognize that a diverse workplace brings invaluable perspectives, and we are committed to fostering an environment where every individual feels respected and supported.

Our Culture

One way we fulfill our commitment to embrace and promote inclusivity and a sense of belonging is through our employee resource groups (ERGs). ERGs offer our colleagues an array of engagement of opportunities; support efforts in recruiting, development and retention; enhance brand awareness; and drive business results.

Each ERG is structured to support inclusiveness, provide input and advice on BRG’s inclusion strategy, and lead efforts that bolster inclusion within BRG’s culture, colleagues, clients, and communities (internally and externally).

ERGs at BRG

  1. Community Service: committed to developing, expanding, and integrating community service as a part of BRG’s inherent culture.
  2. Caregiving: dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for BRG employees, emphasizing the importance of wellness and self-care to effectively support others including children, elderly relatives, and individuals with disabilities.
  3. Cultural Connections: committed to fostering a collaborative environment that celebrates and supports our internal and external communities.
  4. The Green Initiative: facilitate collective action between colleagues, clients and stakeholders to address the multifaceted challenges sustainability presents.

Understanding and Addressing Bias

BRG’s culture is entrepreneurial and collaborative, bolstered by high-caliber colleagues at every level of the organization.

We embed objectivity into all our processes—from recruiting and interviewing to learning, development, and performance management—and our nonhierarchical structure and entrepreneurial mindset enable our colleagues to collaborate with colleagues across geographies and disciplines on complex and often groundbreaking projects.

We collaborate with various organizations to promote inclusion, expand opportunities, and eliminate barriers to recruitment and professional development. Examples include KnowTern, a comprehensive resource that helps students navigate the complex world of finance, tech and consulting recruitment and the International Chamber of Commerce and their ICC Guide on Disability Inclusion in International Arbitration and ADR, which provides practical guidance on how disability inclusion can be a standard feature of arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

People with disabilities have overcome overwhelming odds and made a lasting impact on our world. They deserve equal treatment and equal access to opportunities—and we all need their abilities.

Outreach Programs

The BRG Leg Up Program is an accessible educational and mentorship program geared toward high school students. By introducing high schoolers to the world of consulting and the wide range of industries where they can make an impact, the program is intended to inspire lifelong learners and enhance participants’ opportunities for college and career success.

In 2024, 48 students across Boston, Los Angeles, New York City and Washington, DC attended the program. 96 percent are “Very Likely” to recommend the program to a friend.

Employee-volunteers dedicated more than 200 hours toward educating and mentoring students, and 100 percent would recommend colleagues volunteer for the program.

“I have been accepted to my target university. A big part of my admissions is the experience I received last year at the Leg Up Program.”
– Tariq, University of Maryland and BRG Leg Up Program alumnus
