
Robin Cantor
Dr. Robin Cantor is a managing director and economist at BRG specializing in applied economics, product liability, damages analysis, class actions, and complex litigation.
Dr Cantor has been engaged on more than 30 class certification and mass tort matters involving diverse consumer, commercial, and industrial products and services.
Dr. Cantor received a PhD in economics from Duke University with a specialization in econometrics and a BS in mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a specialization in statistics.
Dr. Cantor’s consulting practice focuses on economics at the interface of science and technology. Many of her projects involve evidence-based economic analysis used in litigation support, expert testimony, risk assessment, and other advisory services addressing energy, environmental, and health issues. Dr. Cantor’s testimonial experience includes analyses of market share theories of product liability, mislabelling and fraudulent disclosure impacts, fair market compensation in eminent domain matters, healthcare reimbursement, economic damages, product liability estimation in bankruptcy matters and insurance disputes, asbestos settlements, cost contribution allocation in Superfund disputes, transportation risks, reliability of statistical models and estimation methods, and class certification issues.
Dr. Cantor has prepared expert reports that address economic issues in healthcare, environmental, and energy markets, antitrust, commercial practices and contracts, intellectual property, false advertising, regulation, and other areas of product and market analysis. She has submitted analysis, testimony, and affidavits in federal arbitration, regulatory and congressional proceedings, and state and federal courts.
