Dr. Tim Boersma is a director in BRG’s Energy & Climate practice. He is a fellow and incoming adjunct professor at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University. Previously, he helped set up the Sustainability & Strategy Advisory practice within the corporate investment bank of ABN AMRO USA; was a senior research scholar and Natural Gas Program director at Columbia University; was a fellow and acting director of the Energy Security and Climate Initiative at the Brookings Institution; and worked with a boutique consulting firm in the Netherlands.
Dr. Boersma has coauthored three book manuscripts and published in Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Foreign Affairs, Nature, and other leading journals. He holds a PhD in international relations from the University of Groningen.
