Stephen Dickie has over twenty-five years of experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, contract administration, and dispute resolution under various forms of contract.

He has led commercial and claims teams and provided arbitration support on major international disputes with values in excess of US$1 billion.

Mr. Dickie’s experience spans projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Libya, Korea, Iraq, South Africa, Germany and the United Kingdom across many sectors, including building, infrastructure, hospitals, oil and gas, energy, aviation and marine.

Mr. Dickie has specialist knowledge in the preparation and defence of claims and counterclaims through to arbitration. His main areas of technical expertise are in dealing with complex final account issues, variation issues and claims including the financial effects of delays, prolongation, disruption, acceleration, cost escalation, preliminaries thickening, overheads, loss of profit and loss of opportunity.

Mr. Dickie has been appointed as a quantum expert and cross-examined by leading international counsel in ICC arbitration proceedings.
