Rodolfo (Rudy) Pittaluga

Managing Director

Rodolfo (Rudy) Pittaluga, Jr. has been admitted to practice law in Florida for more than thirty-five years.

For more than twenty years, he was associated with, or a partner/shareholder in, three AmLaw 100 Firms, and for the last five years he was counsel with a boutique transactional, corporate, and real estate law firm in Miami, Florida, and an adjunct professor at Florida International University’s College of Law. As an attorney, he advised financial and other lending institutions before regulators and represented same and various other parties in complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts (including bankruptcy courts) throughout the United States.

For approximately ten years, Mr. Pittaluga was a principal at and served as the Florida/Puerto Rico leader of a Big Four’s firm’s Financial Advisory Services (FAS) practice. He was responsible for various areas of that firm’s FAS practice, including the Corporate Restructuring, Forensic & Dispute Services (E-Discovery, Expert Witness in domestic as well as international litigation and arbitration, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other Regulatory and Compliance areas), Valuation, Corporate Finance, and Mergers & Acquisitions practices. While at that firm, he held several leadership positions, including serving on the firm’s executive committee, as national diversity leader, and as national leader for the firm’s business resource groups.

Mr. Pittaluga earned his JD from Boston College School of Law and a BBA from the University of Miami. He has maintained an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell since 2000 and has received numerous accolades, including being named as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” by the publication of the same name (2004, 2005, and 2006) and being recognized as one of Florida Monthly magazine’s “Florida’s Top Lawyers,” in Florida Trend magazine’s “Florida Legal Elite,” and as a “Florida SuperLawyer.” Mr. Pittaluga has authored and coauthored articles and lectured (in English and/or Spanish) on a wide range of topics, including US and international insolvency laws, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, anti-corruption in Latin America, diversity, inclusion, and leadership.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Pittaluga has given back to and volunteered in the community he has resided in, serving as an officer, on boards, or as a volunteer to legal, academic, and community-based organizations. Presently, he serves as a director, treasurer, and member of the Miami International Arbitration Society and Miami International Arbitration Foundation; and on the board of advisors for The Inter-American Dialogue’s “Financial Advisor Services Newsletter.”
