Richard Davis
Richard Davis helps companies adopt digital best practices for maximized enterprise value and accelerated cash discovery.
Richard Davis is a senior transformation executive and trusted advisor with more than twenty-five years of experience helping public companies, private equity (PE) sponsors, and enterprise leadership teams modernize the operational backbone of their businesses. He specializes in large-scale finance and technology transformation initiatives involving operational complexity, fragmented systems, execution risk, and investor expectations.
Mr. Davis operates at the intersection of finance, technology, data, and enterprise execution, helping boards, the C-suite, and investors navigate high-stakes transformation programs involving enterprise resource management (ERP) modernization, operating model redesign, shared services, enterprise analytics, artificial intelligence (AI)–enabled diagnostics, process mining, and post-merger integration. He focuses on one core objective: transforming operational complexity into scalable enterprise value.
Mr. Davis brings a commercially grounded, operator-oriented perspective to modernization efforts, aligning technology investment decisions with margin expansion, operational scalability, governance improvement, enterprise visibility, and long-term value creation. He has led and advised complex transformations involving multi-instance ERP environments, enterprise application rationalization, finance modernization, centralized operating models, and AI-assisted operational intelligence programs across PE-backed and publicly traded organizations.
Mr. Davis is recognized for pioneering AI-enabled, accelerated diagnostic approaches that dramatically compress traditional consulting timelines by leveraging process mining, workflow intelligence, ERP telemetry, operational analytics, and AI-assisted assessment frameworks to rapidly identify execution risk, process fragmentation, control weaknesses, automation opportunities, and operational inefficiencies. His approach helps executive teams move beyond theoretical transformation planning into actionable, data-driven modernization strategies.
Mr. Davis frequently works in situations where organizations face critical inflection points: scalability challenges, operational fragmentation, ERP strategy, merger and acquisition (M&A) integration complexity, margin pressure, shared services redesign, or investor-driven transformation mandates. He is able to simplify highly complex operational environments while maintaining executive alignment across boards, finance leadership, technology organizations, and PE stakeholders.
Mr. Davis’s experience spans enterprise operating model transformation, ERP modernization strategy, finance and technology convergence, business intelligence modernization, AI-enabled operational optimization, post-acquisition integration, and large-scale transformation governance. He combines deep financial and operational expertise with practical implementation leadership, enabling organizations to accelerate execution while reducing transformation risk.
Before rejoining BRG in 2024, Mr. Davis was a principal in RSM’s Strategy and Management Consulting practice, where he served as the national leader for RSM’s Industry Performance Solutions practice. He established the firm’s strategic vision for leveraging AI to accelerate diagnostic insight; modernize transformation delivery; and improve speed, precision, and scalability of consulting execution across sector-based teams.
Previously, Mr. Davis held progressive leadership positions serving in roles within the global Corporate Finance office of the CFO Solutions practice at FTI Consulting; led the New England Finance Transformation practice at Deloitte; and was the partner in charge of Grant Thornton’s Northeast Management Consulting practice.
