Ricardo Gomez

Dr. Ricardo Gomez is a managing director in BRG’s Forensic Accounting & Investigations practice, where he leads a team of professionals conducting investigations and advising on regulatory compliance worldwide. He brings more than twenty years of experience in forensic and litigation consulting, specializing in complex cross-border investigations and compliance assessments that integrate forensic interviewing, forensic accounting, and forensic technology. He has conducted investigations and assessments in fifteen countries across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. In connection with cross-border investigations for global companies, he has worked alongside US law firms to present case reports to the US Department of Justice.

Dr. Gomez primarily serves merger and acquisition (M&A) lawyers, corporate M&A teams, private equity firms, and family offices. His work frequently concerns mergers and acquisitions that fail to meet expectations, including unrealized productivity gains or EBITDA targets, escalating post-merger costs, and declining sales pipelines after closing. These engagements often involve newly acquired factories or business units in geographically remote locations.
