Minh Doan is a testifying economic expert specializing in intellectual property, commercial damages, and class action litigation.
Minh Doan has more than eighteen years of experience evaluating economic damages and providing expert testimony in intellectual property, breach of contract, false advertising, class certification, and antitrust matters. She leads large client engagements where she oversees both the strategy and development of damages models to determine lost sales, lost profits, unjust enrichment, reasonable royalties, and price erosion damages.
In intellectual property matters, Ms. Doan has significant experience evaluating damages associated with patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, trade dress, and copyright violations. She also has evaluated commercial success issues and economic criteria relevant to obtaining an injunction.
In class action matters involving alleged price premiums and product mislabeling, Ms. Doan has assessed claims of classwide economic injury and damages involving a range of consumer products and has analyzed large-scale retail sales and pricing datasets, including Circana (IRI), Nielsen, and retailer-level data.
Ms. Doan has submitted more than thirty expert reports and testified in depositions and trials in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) has recognized Ms. Doan among the top economic experts for intellectual property matters in the IAM Patent 1000. She is an associate of the Society of Actuaries.
