Michael Caddick is a director in BRG’s Global Construction practice. He has over sixteen years of experience as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, specialising in construction disputes and independent expert witness services. His primary focus is quantum analysis for complex construction matters. He has worked extensively on arbitrations under ICC, DIAC, QICCA and LCIA frameworks across Europe, Australia and the Middle East. He provides independent expert analysis on major infrastructure, energy, residential and commercial development projects.
Mr. Caddick holds a BSc in quantity surveying, an LLM in construction law and arbitration and a postgraduate diploma in construction adjudication. He is a fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), with RICS expert witness accreditation. His practical experience spans both contracting and employer perspectives, providing him with comprehensive commercial understanding of construction disputes.
Mr. Caddick’s expertise encompasses the full spectrum of construction quantum analysis including prolongation, disruption, variations, valuation at termination, acceleration, loss of profit assessment and defect valuation across diverse project types. He provides strategic quantum analysis and expert witness services in formal arbitration proceedings, mediations and amicable commercial settlements across projects from major infrastructure developments to processing facilities to luxury hotel and residential complexes.
