Li Li, an associate director in BRG’s Energy & Climate practice, provides over seventeen years of international experience in the energy and financial industries.

Her areas of expertise include gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract price review and negotiation, LNG contract pricing and flexibility disputes, quantum analysis for investment and commercial arbitration, LNG sales and procurement strategy, investment and commercial strategy, financial valuation, economic modeling and forecasting, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing. Her energy-sector experience includes natural gas, LNG, pipelines, liquid fuels, renewable energy and thermal generation, hydrogen, carbon markets, and petrochemical products.

Ms. Li provides expertise in dispute resolution including LNG contract price review disputes, gas sale agreement price disputes, LNG contract pricing and flexibility disputes, and quantum analysis for commercial and investment arbitration. She has provided expert analysis for international LNG and natural gas price review disputes, LNG and natural gas price disputes, international commercial and investment arbitration, and energy litigation matters for law firms, governments, and industry clients under the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, CPR, and AAA rules.

Ms. Li is an accomplished financial modeler and valuation expert with a wide variety of experience throughout the natural gas and LNG value chain, including LNG terminals and pipelines, thermal and renewable power generation, and steam methane reforming facilities for hydrogen production. Ms. Li obtained her CFA designation in 2007 and CFA certificate in ESG investing in 2022. She is proficient in investment analysis, portfolio management, and financial regulation.

Ms. Li is also one of BRG’s lead economic modelers for the North American and global gas and LNG markets. She focuses on fundamental gas/LNG modeling and forecasting to support strategic business development, arbitration, investment decisions, and various transactions for LNG regasification and liquefaction terminals, pipelines, utilities, and commodities in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Latin America.
