Kristen Daley has more than twenty years of experience in healthcare advisory services and hospital management. She is an industry-recognized subject-matter expert in clinical quality improvement, surgical operations, and value-based care programs.
Kristen Daley is an innovative senior executive who develops strategies and systems that promote improved patient care through data-driven analytics that facilitate high quality and efficient care. She is a trusted advisor who aligns key stakeholders around desired outcomes and goals.
Ms. Daley leads clinical quality improvement projects with hospitals to implement evidence-based best practices to improve patient care and decrease complications, adverse events, mortality, and readmissions. She is an expert in change management and developing strategies and systems that promote clinical engagement and collaboration.
Ms. Daley brings skills to her work with clients, including:
- surgical service line administration and operations
- Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) value-based program development and implementation
- public quality scorecard improvement, including optimizing performance in CMS Stars, US News & World Report, Leapfrog, and Healthgrades
- Managing accountable care organization (ACO) operations with large physician networks and at-risk contracts with national payors
Before joining BRG, Ms. Daley spent eight years in hospital service-line administration and operations at a large health system in Colorado. She directed growth and quality of a high-volume orthopedics program in Denver and led operations for the system-sponsored ACO. She helped achieve change through data-driven programs focused on reducing variation, improving quality, and lowering the cost of care. She led the development and implementation of Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) and the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) Model, Medicare’s bundled payment programs, leading to millions of dollars in savings for her system.
Prior to Ms. Daley’s time as a hospital executive, she spent over ten years in healthcare advisory services identifying opportunities to advance evidence-based best practices to improve quality and reduce medical costs in clinical areas including orthopedics, cardiology, heart failure, and pneumonia.
Ms. Daley received her undergraduate degree in biology from Dartmouth College.
