Holly M. Sampson
Holly Sampson is an associate director in BRG’s Financial Institution Advisory (FIA) practice.
Ms. Sampson brings over sixteen years of experience working alongside and within financial services companies in the consumer finance industry. She has legal regulatory compliance and litigation experience related to fair lending, fair housing, and unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices (UDAAP)–related issues across all consumer product lines. She has also assisted financial services companies with digital transformation and digital strategy projects, partnering with business and technology teams to drive their digital upskilling goals while balancing potential regulatory and operational risks. Ms. Sampson has advised financial institutions in identifying and driving risk management solutions, and managed teams responsible for designing and performing regulatory compliance control assessments, as well as remediation efforts. She has also led engagements that required expansive and intimate knowledge of key banking regulations, operations, and industry product and service offerings.
As a financial institution executive, Ms. Sampson developed the strategy for and stood up a new executive position and teams focused on data governance risk, business continuity risk, and third-party risk management. She also built a business advisory team specializing in compliance exam management, gap assessments, risk and control assessments, and operational risk issues management.
Ms. Sampson received her MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business as a Forté Fellow.
