Eli Levinowitz is an associate director in BRG’s Houston office who specializes in forensic and investigative accounting, financial and economic analyses in disputes, and data‑driven litigation support. He helps develop testimony‑ready analyses, manage complex electronic evidence, and present clear findings in matters involving alleged fraud, commingling, related‑party activity, wage‑and‑hour claims, and other commercial disputes.

His areas of expertise include:

  • forensic and investigative accounting; tracing of funds and related-party transactions
  • analysis of economic damages in commercial disputes and class actions
  • evaluation of accounting and financial reporting issues (generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) topics relevant to consolidation, revenue/expense recognition, and intercompany activity)
  • mergers and acquisitions and post-transaction disputes (purchase price, earnouts, representations and warranties)
  • alter ego/veil-piercing and commingling analyses
  • data analytics and eDiscovery support (including review and productions in Relativity); structured/unstructured data reconciliation across bank, general ledgers, and third-party sources

Mr. Levinowitz earned a JD/MBA from Tulane University and a BS in finance (minor in accounting) from Clemson University. He studied in ten countries, including China and Germany, informing his cross‑border perspective and ability to work across industries and jurisdictions.
