Aiden Lo has over a decade of experience in competition economics, specialising in merger control and behavioural matters.

Aiden Lo has advised on a range of complex, high‑stakes transactions, including major global mergers, before the European Commission (EC), US Department of Justice and other competition authorities around the world. In Asia-Pacific (APAC), he has advised on mergers in telecommunications, shipbuilding and port equipment, amongst other industries, across Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.

A native Chinese speaker, Mr. Lo has advised on mergers across various industries in China. He has also worked on cases involving Chinese companies being investigated under the EC’s Foreign Subsidies Regulation.

In behavioural matters, Mr. Lo has provided economic advice on price and non‑price conduct such as self‑preferencing, refusal to supply, excessive pricing and bundling. These have spanned industries from digital platforms and financial services to semiconductors and pharmaceuticals across APAC and Europe. His notable engagements include a regulatory probe into app store billing practices in India, which won the GCR 2023 behavioural matter of the year in Asia. He also worked on the first-ever abuse of substantial market power case in Hong Kong.
