BRG Strengthens Global Construction Practice in London with Senior Hire Kenelm Hoare
Intelligence That Works

BRG has appointed Kenelm Hoare as a director in its Global Construction practice in London. Mr. Hoare is the firm’s second technical expert hire outside of the US, after Managing Director Matthew Bosley, who recently joined BRG in Dubai.

A mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and building services engineer with twenty-five years of experience, Mr Hoare is a market-leading MEP expert specializing in electrical matters. He is a technical contributor to BS 7671, the widely used UK national standard for electrical installations, and acts as a liaison between BS 7671 and BS 9999 covering fire engineering matters.

Mr. Hoare’s expert practice supports UK and international dispute resolution within the construction sector across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific regions. He brings extensive experience and has delivered on major projects across sectors including commercial, defence, higher education, hospitality, industrials, manufacturing, residential, retail and transportation.

Mr. Hoare is BRG’s sixth expert-level appointment in its EMEA construction practice in the last eighteen months, with further hires expected as part of the firm’s ongoing growth strategy. He joins a senior team across London and Dubai with expertise spanning quantum, delay and technical matters.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Hoare said: “It’s an exciting time to join BRG when the firm is rapidly expanding across geographies and practices. The construction team has a great record across quantum and delay matters and recently launched in the technical arena. It’s a world-class proposition, and I’m hugely looking forward to developing our combined offering with the team”.

Mr. Bosley added: “Kenelm brings wide-ranging experience across arbitration and ADR [alternative dispute resolution], litigation and noncontentious matters in the UK and internationally. I’m delighted to work with him again and that our London clients will be able to benefit from local technical expertise”.
