BRG Strengthens European Competition Practice with Senior Hire in London

BRG has appointed Felix Hammeke as a director in its Antitrust & Competition practice in London, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to expanding its European competition offering. He brings extensive litigation and advisory experience in complex competition matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Hammeke’s competition litigation experience includes expert roles in Germany and key roles on high-stakes cases in the Competition Appeals Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. He has advised and represented clients during mergers and other competition investigations in the United Kingdom and European Union. His experience covers payment cards (interchange fees), big tech and automotive parts, amongst other industries. Mr. Hammeke cofounded the Junior Competition Network, where he played a key role in fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among emerging professionals in the competition field.
At BRG, Mr. Hammeke will collaborate closely with the firm’s established team of leading experts, including David Parker, Greg Harman and Mark Bosley, to support clients on complex and high-profile competition cases in Europe. His appointment follows the recent addition of Dr. Frédéric Palomino in BRG’s Paris office, with further senior hires expected in the coming months as part of the firm’s ongoing growth strategy in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Mr. Hammeke said: “BRG offers a dynamic platform for growth and plentiful opportunities to contribute to major cases. I look forward to working alongside a talented team and building on my litigation experience in this next phase of my career to support clients on complex competition matters in Europe”.
Mr. Parker, a managing director at BRG, said: “We are delighted to welcome Felix to the firm. He has a superb reputation in London and Germany. His expertise boosts our existing senior team and will further enhance our ability to tackle the most complex competition litigation matters”.
“Felix’s appointment marks the next step in our strategy to expand in Europe and meet burgeoning client demand”, said David Sunding, BRG’s vice chairman and leader of the firm’s global Economics, Disputes & Investigations business line. “His experience in high-profile sectors such as big tech and interchange litigation will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our team”.
