BRG has announced the appointment of Michael Caddick as a director in its Global Construction practice based in Dubai.

Mr. Caddick brings extensive experience in independent quantum expert analysis on major international construction disputes. He is the most recent addition to a practice that has seen senior appointments in Los Angeles, New York and Dallas this year. In Dubai, recent senior hires include three construction delay specialists: Managing Directors Aidan Coyne, John Fletcher and Sharon McGahey. A further addition in the forensic technology space will be announced imminently.

A fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Mr. Caddick has over sixteen years of experience in the construction sector. He has worked on major construction disputes across Europe, Australia and the Middle East. He has also provided quantity surveying and advisory services for employers and contractors and offers a comprehensive commercial understanding of construction matters.

Mr. Caddick’s expertise spans a diverse portfolio with focus on high-value infrastructure, industrial, power, and commercial projects. His procedural experience covers formal arbitration (including under ICC, DIAC, QICCA and LCIA rules) and a range of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), from mediations to settlement negotiations.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Caddick added: “I’m excited to join BRG at such a pivotal moment of growth in the Middle East. The firm’s collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical, robust analysis aligns perfectly with my own philosophy of combining technical expertise with commercial understanding. I’m particularly drawn to BRG’s reputation for truly independent, objective analysis. This resonates with my own perspective, having gained practical experience working with both employers and contractors throughout my career. I look forward to contributing to BRG’s exceptional team in Dubai and helping our clients navigate their most complex construction challenges with confidence and clarity”.
