BRG announced that Mark Jennings has joined the firm’s London office as a director, strengthening BRG’s Business Insurance Claims (BIC) practice and underlining its commitment to expansion in Europe.
Jennings brings over two decades of experience in the review and quantification of complex financial losses and disputes, supporting insurers, lawyers and affected parties. He has expertise in preparing claims on behalf of policyholders, including business interruption and loss of profits claims, compulsory purchase, breach of contract and stock losses. He has acted as an expert accountant on behalf of claimants and defendants and as a single joint expert, preparing expert reports for trial and providing both written and oral evidence in court. He is also highly experienced in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and arbitrations.
Jennings’ appointment follows that of Richard Cameron-Williams, which marked the launch of the firm’s BIC practice outside the United States.
Jennings commented on his appointment: “I am delighted to join BRG and reunite with Richard, and I look forward to working with such a talented team. BRG’s commitment to excellence and ambitious plans for growth provide an outstanding platform to deliver value to clients. I look forward to building on the success of the BIC practice in the US, UK and across EMEA”.
Cameron-Williams, head of the EMEA BIC practice, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Mark to BRG. His in-depth knowledge of what insurers need to assess a claim—reliable loss assessments supported by a credible narrative—builds trust on both sides to facilitate a smooth, efficient process that will help to ensure the highest levels of client service”.
Gregory Thaler, global leader of BRG’s BIC practice, said: “Mark’s arrival in London is an important step in the continued growth of our practice. His expertise in quantifying complex losses and preparing large, sophisticated claims will further increase our ability to serve clients across the region and globally. We are committed to expanding our capabilities and delivering best-in-class support to policyholders and insurers”.
