BRG Adds Matt Mohwinkel to Business Development Team

BRG today announced that Matthew Mohwinkel has joined the firm as a managing director in its Business Development group. His addition follows the recent hire of Vijay Bondada and underscores BRG’s continued investment in expanding its business development capabilities across disputes, investigations and compliance-related matters, with a strategic focus on supporting clients in highly regulated industries. BRG’s clients include corporate entities spanning industries such as financial services, healthcare and life sciences, and technology; and law firms including key practice groups such as antitrust, white collar crime, litigation and False Claims Act.
Mohwinkel brings more than 25 years of experience advising corporate and law firm clients on complex compliance programs, internal and government investigations, and high-stakes commercial litigation. He has worked closely with legal, compliance and executive teams to identify risk, manage regulatory exposure and align the right mix of subject-matter experts, data analytics and advisory resources to address complex matters efficiently and defensibly.
“Matt’s experience working at the intersection of corporate legal departments, law firms and advisory teams gives him a unique perspective on what clients truly need,” said Ray Kolls, a managing director and global co-leader of BRG’s Economics, Disputes & Investigations business line. “His legal background, deep relationships and industry knowledge—particularly in healthcare and life sciences—make him an outstanding addition to our growing business development team.”
Prior to joining BRG, Mohwinkel held in-house roles at three global technology companies, where he managed compliance, investigation and litigation matters in complex regulatory environments. He also served in senior business development leadership positions at multiple global consulting firms, where he designed, executed and led global investigation-focused business development programs, partnering closely with legal and compliance leaders at multinational organizations.
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen how critical it is for clients to have access to the right expertise at the right time,” said Mohwinkel. “BRG’s collaborative culture and multidisciplinary approach allow teams to deliver practical, data-driven solutions that help organizations and law firms navigate investigations, compliance demands and litigation with confidence.”
Mohwinkel earned his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law and his BA from Saint Olaf College.
