At the recent ICLG Global Class Actions Symposium, Greg Harman took part in a panel on “Calculating Damages in Cross-Border Cases.” He discussed compound interest, commonality, and the difficulty in defining a common interest rate across the class. He described surveys as “a very efficient way of extracting information” from class members, but underlined the importance of their good design.
