BRG Ranked Among Leading Firms in Chambers & Partners Expert League Tables for 2022
For the third consecutive year, BRG has ranked in Band 1—the top tier—of Chambers Litigation Support: Economic Analysts directory. Clients said BRG’s practice has “a good talent pool available which enables them to cater to a broad range of expert needs”, and “everyone [we] worked with was responsive and well prepared to handle the job at hand”. Daniel Ryan, head of BRG’s London office, is described as a “notable practitioner” and “key contact”.
BRG places in Band 2 in the Cybersecurity Risk directory, with Managing Director Thomas Brown, who leads the firm’s Cybersecurity & Investigations practice, ranking in Band 1 as an individual. A source described him as “smart, thoughtful, … articulate … talented and trustworthy”, adding that “one of the benefits of using Tom is that he is an accomplished trial lawyer”. Other market commentators said of his team: “They have a sophisticated understanding of cyber issues and were able to get a handle on the situation. They provided a full, detailed investigation report and guidance within a matter of a couple of weeks”; and “They could understand the complexity of the situation and translate it into easy-to-understand language. They were just excellent in terms of the people aspect”.
BRG’s UK Forensic Accountancy practice is ranked in Band 3, with Ben Johnson, a managing director and head of the UK forensic investigations team, ranking in Band 2, the third consecutive year in which he has been profiled. “The team offers an unusual combination of skills and experience, offering practical insights, investigative capability as well as legal knowledge”, commented one source.
In the Business Intelligence & Investigations category, BRG’s Asia–Pacific (APAC) practice ranks in Band 3 and the UK practice ranks in Band 5. A client said of the UK team: “They are very experienced, very thorough and knowledgeable … [they] … are always on top of matters and are nice to deal with. I would go to them for my biggest and most complex matters”. Another commented of the APAC team: “BRG knows what they are doing, and are able to propose solutions and respond to our requests in a prompt manner”. Ben Johnson and Steven Parker, the latter the head of BRG’s Financial Investigations and Regulatory Compliance practice in the APAC region and Greater China, are listed as notable practitioners in their respective directories.
