10th Annual African Competition Law Conference

Phil Alves spoke at on the panel “Continental and Domestic Trade Imperatives – Navigating the Tension” at the 10th Bowmans Annual African Competition Law Conference. Panelists discussed the tension between the fact that the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is being implemented, while South Africa and some other African nations are being seen to be stepping up protective trade measures and support for localisation requirements.
