ABA Litigation Section 2024 Joint Regional CLE Program

Cleve B. Tyler took part in the plenary panel “Somewhere Between Canon and Ipse Dixit: Expert Opinion Admissibility Trends and Challenges.” The panel was part of the ABA Litigation Section’s 2024 Environmental & Energy, Mass Torts, and Products Liability Litigation Committees’ Joint Regional CLE Program.

Panelists discussed the boundaries of expert opinion testimony and recent trends impacting its admissibility. Dr. Tyler provided insight into recent trends in admissibility, and reasons for exclusion, of expert witnesses. Moderated by Orell Anderson (Strategic Property Analytics), the panel also featured Tonya Newman (Neal Geber & Eisenberg), Lori Leskin (Arnold & Porter), and Russ Rosenzweig (RoundTable Group).
