Vincent Biemans

Vincent Biemans advises and opines on economic damages, accounting, and valuation and other financial issues (such as solvency).

Mr. Biemans has quantified and analyzed damages across various causes of action, under a variety of facts and circumstances, and for matters brought in federal court, state court, and arbitration. He has served as an affirmative testifying expert, rebuttal testifying expert, and consulting expert.

Mr. Biemans also assists buyers and sellers with their post-closing M&A disputes—such as working capital adjustments and earnouts—as both a (party-retained) advisor and a (jointly retained) neutral accountant. In addition, he serves as a forensic accountant in fraud-related matters.

Mr. Biemans has valued businesses (ranging from early stage ventures to mature businesses), stock options, and a variety of more exotic financial instruments. In addition, he has analyzed reasonably equivalent value and solvency, performed comparative valuations to analyze and isolate the impact of (alleged) events on value, and performed a variety of other financial analyses

Mr. Biemans has been involved with engagements covering a broad size spectrum (economic interest ranging from less than $1 million to more than $10 billion) and across a wide range of industries. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas (BRG is not a CPA firm). He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designations. He holds advanced degrees in accountancy (postgraduate), economics (M.Sc.), and fiscal law (LL.M.). He coauthored the book M&A Disputes: A Professional Guide to Accounting Arbitrations.
