Ruth Tabak has over fourteen years of experience in federal health policy-making and analysis, and program operations, including extensive experience in the public and private sectors.

She joined BRG from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), where she ran a team of over twenty-five staff conducting a monthly enrollment reconciliation process among nearly three hundred health insurance plans offering coverage on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace and the federal enrollment database (healthcare.gov).

During the Affordable Care Act legislative process, Ms. Tabak served on the majority staff of the US House of Representatives, Ways and Means Committee, handling a Medicare portfolio on behalf of the Health Subcommittee, including drafting and enactment of final provisions in the law related to Medicare Advantage reimbursement rates, and House proposals for home health, skilled nursing facility, and ESRD payment rates and policies.

Ms. Tabak began her career as a consultant at a leading healthcare consulting firm, advising pharmaceutical and health plan clients on implications of legislation, regulations, and market trends in the Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D programs.
