Yael Karlinsky Shichor

Dr. Yael Karlinsky Shichor specializes in economic analysis for complex litigation and business matters with a focus on antitrust and consumer protection.

Dr. Yael Karlinsky Shichor is an empirical economist who specializes in applying rigorous econometric methods to big data analysis and in designing surveys and experiments to address complex issues of causal identification. She combines qualitative and quantitative analyses to address disputes involving allegations of fraudulent and deceptive pricing behavior and the misuse of business proprietary data.

Before joining BRG, Dr. Karlinsky Shichor was an assistant professor of marketing at Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Her academic research spans algorithmic pricing, user-generated content analysis, and consumer decision-making and has been published in leading academic journals including Marketing Science. She has received honors including the Vithala R. and Saroj V. Rao ISMS Doctoral Dissertation Award and a finalist citation for the ISMS/MSI/EMAC Gary Lilien Marketing Science Practice Prize.

Dr. Karlinsky Shichor received a PhD in marketing from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business, an MSc in management of technology from Tel Aviv University, and a BSc in information systems engineering (cum laude) from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
