Dr. Stuart Miller has over a decade of experience assisting attorneys and clients in the evaluation of damages in litigation disputes in general commercial litigation, intellectual property (IP), bankruptcy, and class actions.

Dr. Miller has been retained as an expert and has provided expert reports and testimony in state court, federal court, and arbitration proceedings. His industry experience includes automotive, consumer products, consumer electronics, financial services, oil and gas, medical devices, pharmaceutical, software, and telecommunications.

Dr. Miller has evaluated damages in the form of lost profits, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, and disgorgement. He also has evaluated economic issues in claims for injunctive relief and has analyzed IP damages in engagements involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, copyright, and trademark infringement. He has experience evaluating commercial damages such as those arising from breach of contract and tortious interference claims. He has also evaluated commercial success in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) matters and damages in franchisee–franchisor disputes.

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Economic Association, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Licensing Executives Society and holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation. He has been published in Law360, Today’s CPA, and BRG’s peer-reviewed journal, the BRG Review.

Dr. Miller is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. He received a master’s degree in Latin American studies.
