Scott has significant experience assisting clients with internal whistleblower complaints, subpoenas from regulatory agencies and global investigations.
Scott Witte is a managing director in BRG’s Disputes & Investigations practice. He brings over two decades of experience working with clients responding to crisis situations. He has significant experience helping clients respond to internal whistleblower complaints and subpoenas from the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other government regulatory agencies. In addition to domestic matters, he has experience with global forensic investigations, including matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
Mr. Witte also advises legal counsel in the context of complex commercial litigation across industries, with a focus on oil and gas and energy. He routinely advises clients on antitrust and competition, breach of contract, climate change, intellectual property and patent infringement, purchase price disputes, international arbitration, securities enforcement, trade secrets, data analytics, cryptocurrency, and cyber investigations cases.
Mr. Witte previously worked at a Big Four accounting firm. He is a US Marine Corps combat veteran and served twenty-three years (active and reserve) as a combat engineer, retiring in 2012 from the reserves as a lieutenant colonel.
