Peter Smith is a Managing Director and leads BRG’s Advanced AI and Decision Intelligence practice. He is an accomplished executive and artificial intelligence (AI) expert who specializes in scaling organizations through the development of innovative and commercially successful data and AI products. He has a track record in digital transformation and leveraging technologies like AI and generative AI to create personalized, relevant customer experiences that drive significant growth and value for clients.
In leading the Advanced AI and Decision Intelligence practice, Mr. Smith oversees a team that operates at the intersection of information, expertise, and intelligence—advising organizations on the strategic value and material risks of AI and embedding purpose-built AI capabilities directly into the analytical and investigative workflows that define BRG’s practice. The practice enhances rigor, efficiency, and defensibility across economics, disputes, corporate finance, performance improvement, and regulated industries including healthcare, construction, and financial services.
Mr. Smith has more than fifteen years of client service experience and has worked for more than a decade in executive roles at industry-leading firms. He has held numerous leadership roles including global managing director and head of AI, chief strategy officer, and head of Digital Strategy & Innovation.
Mr. Smith received a BA from Franklin & Marshall College. He has filed multiple patents and published many articles on AI and generative AI.
