Noni Jefferson

Noni Jefferson is an associate director in BRG’s Healthcare practice. She is a registered nurse and licensed attorney with over twenty years of experience. She brings extensive clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a robust knowledge base gained from working in large, 750+ bed Level I trauma hospitals, academic medical centers, and community facilities.

Ms. Jefferson specializes in clinical documentation integrity (CDI), having served in roles including CDI consultant across multiple acute care settings. She has conducted concurrent documentation reviews, performed audits, and delivered education on CDI-related topics. Before joining BRG, she served as a director at a large management consulting company.

Ms. Jefferson’s professional background includes roles as risk manager, nursing manager, administrative nursing supervisor, CDI lead/auditor, interim health information management (HIM) leader, critical care nurse, and quality and utilization manager.

Ms. Jefferson drives operational improvement, leads interdisciplinary collaboration, and delivers data-driven insights to enhance organizational performance and outcomes. Her representative experience includes:

• Managing daily operations, including staffing, process improvement, team development, and conflict resolution.
• Overseeing risk management programs in collaboration with patient financial services (PFS), quality, and executive leadership and developing systems to improve outcomes.
• Collaborating across interdisciplinary teams including nursing, pharmacy, billing, PFS, quality, and coding.
• Leading and supporting performance improvement initiatives to enhance organizational outcomes.
• Developing objective auditing processes for CDI teams to provide actionable feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Devising future state with organizational goals by analyzing processes, key performance indicators, and trends to deliver meaningful insights to leadership.
