Marc Metrick is a senior retail industry executive with experience leading luxury retail brands and driving strategy, transformation, and operations for multibillion-dollar enterprises.

Marc Metrick is a managing director in BRG’s Corporate Finance practice based in New York City. He has over thirty years of operating experience with expertise spanning executive leadership, multi-brand portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), post-merger integration, operational and digital transformation, and omnichannel retail strategy.

Mr. Metrick spent most of his career at Saks Global, a multibillion-dollar retailer, most recently serving as chief executive officer (CEO) after navigating the retailer through the pandemic. He subsequently played an integral role in separating its e-commerce business from its holding company. He later developed the operating plan for Saks’ acquisition of another luxury retail group, which created another multibillion-dollar enterprise. As CEO of the combined enterprise, he also sat on the board of directors.

Mr. Metrick has served on the board of Phoenix House Addiction Treatment Centers and as vice president of a foundation dedicated to mental health. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the National Retail Federation, where he chaired the Finance Committee; and on the Advisory Board of the Jay H. Baker Retailing Center at the Wharton School. He regularly contributes to CNBC discussions on consumer behavior and broader retail trends.
