Leon He is an associate director in BRG’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) eDiscovery and Forensics practice based in Beijing.

He has over twelve years of experience in digital forensics and eDiscovery, with significant expertise in China-related and APAC matters.

Mr. He has led projects in digital forensics and investigations, eDiscovery and data compliance for multinational enterprises and leading corporations from a wide range of industries, including financial services, automotive, medical and manufacturing. He has also provided services to Chinese governmental organisations including the Ministry of Public Security, Supreme People’s Procuratorate and China Criminal Police Academy. He has worked on civil and criminal investigations and domestic and international litigations involving cross-border data transfer.

Mr. He is a certified digital forensic examiner of various international and Chinese forensic tools. He is proficient in data acquisition and processing; analysis of mobile devices, computers, server logs and cloud data; and the Chinese digital evidence validation process. He served as an editor for the China National eDiscovery Standards of the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee and the China National Data Security Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

Prior to joining BRG, Mr. He worked across China, Canada and the United States in various forensic and eDiscovery roles.
