His experience spans healthcare, financial services, artificial intelligence (AI), statistical sampling, and large-scale data analytics, where he assists experts, counsel, and clients in developing defensible analyses for high-stakes disputes.
Before joining BRG, Mr. Thakur spent nearly five years with a global litigation consulting firm and more than two years with Unisys Corporation. He has developed and analyzed large, complex datasets using advanced programming, statistical modeling, and quantitative techniques to support commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, and strategic decision-making. He has extensive experience designing and executing statistical sampling methodologies, evaluating healthcare claims, analyzing financial and operational datasets, and developing large-scale analytical frameworks. He regularly leads multidisciplinary teams to transform complex data into clear, defensible analyses that support expert reports, declarations, and testimony. He has managed sophisticated analytics engagements involving hundreds of millions of records while coordinating the efforts of consultants, experts, attorneys, and clients.
Mr. Thakur is an expert in the evaluation of AI and machine learning systems used in healthcare. He has led teams responsible for assessing AI-assisted healthcare coding and claims review platforms, analyzing model performance, evaluating training and testing methodologies, and identifying opportunities to improve model accuracy, consistency, and reliability. His work involves data mining, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, benchmarking, and large-scale data visualization in support of litigation and arbitration. He applies rigorous statistical methodologies using industry-standard analytical platforms, including Python, R, Stata, SQL, and cloud-based technologies, to develop reproducible and defensible analyses for experts and counsel. His experience also includes designing scalable cloud-based analytical environments that efficiently process, store, and visualize complex datasets.
