Himadri Palikhe

Himadri Palikhe, PhD, specializes in applying economic theory, econometric methods, and data analysis to complex litigation matters, with a particular focus on antitrust and competition issues. Her experience also includes matters involving breach of contract, intellectual property, pay-for-delay, and wage-and-hour disputes.

Dr. Palikhe has conducted economic analyses across industries including healthcare, consumer goods, construction, transportation, medical equipment, and online platforms. Her antitrust work includes analyzing competitive effects, pricing, market dynamics, and alleged anticompetitive conduct in matters involving price-fixing, bid rigging, group boycotts, market allocation, and hub-and-spoke conspiracies.

Dr. Palikhe supports testifying experts throughout the lifecycle of complex litigation and consulting engagements. She manages case teams and workflows, helps shape economic and analytical approaches, oversees the development and implementation of quantitative analyses, and plays a central role in drafting expert reports and related work product. She ensures that economic theory, empirical analysis, and case strategy are effectively integrated and communicated at each stage of an engagement.

Before her consulting career in the US, Dr. Palikhe spent seven years with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Nepal, advising public and private-sector stakeholders on economic development through international trade. She advanced through several roles and ultimately served as deputy chief technical advisor, becoming the youngest person within GIZ to hold that position at the time.

Dr. Palikhe holds a PhD in economics. Her research applied theoretical and econometric methods to questions involving environmental policy, labor markets, and international investment. She also holds an MBA from Kathmandu University. Dr. Palikhe has published economic and policy articles in academic and competition journals, including “Environmental Policy Uncertainty,” Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (JAERE) (July 2024); “FTC Protections May Spur Rise in Class Actions by Gig Workers,” Global Competition Review (August 2023); and “Proposed Changes Would Increase the Cost and Decrease the Benefit of Listing Species as Endangered,” Choices, Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (May 2019).
