The Economist Antitrust Summit US

October 28, 2026

Ceren Canal Aruoba will join the “Consumer Protection and Private Litigation” panel at The Economist’s inaugural Antitrust Summit US. Panelists will examine the evolution and assess the outlook of consumer protection enforcement in the US and Europe, including:

  • policymakers’ focus on the rising cost of living
  • private litigation
  • personalized pricing at scale and algorithmic pricing
  • federal consumer enforcement
  • unintended consequences for businesses
  • the degree of convergence between the US and UK, as well as in the European Union with its new Digital Fairness Act

Ms Canal Aruoba will join Nina Frant (special counsel, Freshfields) and Greg Dubinsky (partner, Holwell Shuster and Goldberg) for a discussion moderated by Chris Varvares, Regional Director for the Americas and Head of Economic Strategy, Economist Intelligence Unit.
