Skerry (Partner, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP), and Stephenie Gosnell Handler (Partner, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP). This session will focus on the rapidly evolving landscape of transactions and risk compliance in critical technology, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing.

On April 23, Steven Klemencic will present in the session “The Next Phase of the Export Controls and CFIUS Interplay: Contrasting Supply Chain Risks for Dual-Use and Military Items, Data and Technologies—and the Impact on the Deal” with Giovanna Cinelli (Deputy General Counsel, Office of the General Counsel, US Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security) and Ivan A. Schlager, P.C. (Partner, Kirkland & Ellis). This session will offer a side-by-side comparison of export versus CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) controls and examine perspectives on national security risks and how to address them.
