We offer a unique, concentrated focus on governance, incentives, and talent.
Success by design. Human design.
Competitive, investor, and regulatory pressures are having dramatic impacts on boards of directors, especially regarding their governance and oversight of company strategy and performance, adherence to ethical principles, executive compensation design, and talent management. In these respects, directors are the stewards of their organizations.
BRG’s Human Capital experts assess and advise on board of director effectiveness in these multiple roles. In doing so, we offer an independent, external, and analytical-based perspective grounded in the deep expertise of our professionals and staff.
Our practice differentiates itself from other firms by offering a concentrated focus on governance, incentives, and talent.
Our professionals are highly experienced in working with company boards of directors, as well as with private equity firms and law firms, to improve corporate governance and related policies and practices. We conduct individual and group assessments to enhance board oversight and also work closely with chief executive officers and senior leadership teams to strengthen their roles and relationships with their boards.
An effective executive compensation program relies on sound governance and compensation practices closely aligned with an organization’s annual and long-term strategic plans and objectives. We provide expert independent analytical reviews and assessments of executive compensation programs and work collaboratively with the board, compensation committee, chief executive officer, and other C-suite members to align executive compensation plans with business strategy, objectives, and outcomes. We also provide the same services with respect to nonexecutive employee compensation.
We advise companies about strategically oriented policies and practices to obtain and retain talented executive and nonexecutive employees and motivate their performance. This includes independent advice about and expertise in organizational strategy and structure, organizational culture and change, leadership development, coaching, succession planning, and performance management. Our focus is on the alignment of these organizational capabilities with the formulation and implementation of enterprise, business, and functional strategies. Our experience in these areas draws upon our experts’ research, publications, and consultations with hundreds of companies in a variety of industries and business situations, as well as government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
