Physicians Legal Issues: Healthcare Delivery and Innovation

Jessica Smith took part in a panel on “Feast and Famine: The Economics of Healthcare in a Pandemic” on September 21. Panelists analyzed the economic impact of the pandemic on healthcare providers, including lost revenue from the cessation and decrease of elective procedures and other nonemergency health services, and legal and practical considerations for resuming these services. Panelists also explored the types of assistance government, hospitals, and health systems can provide practitioners in their networks.
