Shawna O’Neill has worked as a nurse, hospital administrator (both chief operating officer and chief nursing officer), and consultant, providing a unique perspective on the clinical and social dynamics in healthcare environments. She understands complex hospital operations and approaches to make them run more smoothly, including increasing throughput and meeting regulatory expectations. She addresses clinical and social obstacles related to productivity goals without compromising healthcare quality or morale. She has performed numerous hospital assessments and implementation of recommendations. She has also performed in-depth departmental assessments for nursing departments, emergency departments, and other clinical areas such as pharmacy, radiology, and radiation oncology.

Ms. O’Neill began her career as a staff nurse and subsequently held two hospital COO/vice presidencies. She has been a full-time consultant for over two decades. She possesses strong attention to detail, builds relationships and trust, and assesses organizations quickly. This allows her to not only identify bottlenecks, but also implement sustainable solutions that yield greater quality and efficiency.
